Terms and conditions

1. Warranties: All our work is guaranteed for one year from completion, covering leaks and mechanical faults (on supplied goods only). This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, neglect, fair wear and tear. Our guarantee doesn't affect your legal rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982. 2. Additional Work: Any reasonable additional work not included in the quote will be added to the final bill. 3. Asbestos Removal: The quoted price excludes asbestos removal. If encountered, the customer is responsible for its management. 4. Existing System Liability: We are not liable for repairing or replacing parts of your existing system that malfunction during our work (e.g., a valve leak after use). 5. Access and Utilities: You must inform us of any hazards and ensure clear access to drains, covers, electricity, and water. Additional costs may apply if access is obstructed. 6. Installation Dates: We will do our best to meet the quoted installation dates. Neither party is liable for cost if you cannot meet the date. We will reschedule in case of unforeseen circumstances. 7. Quote Validity: Our quotes are valid for 28 days and can be withdrawn or changed anytime before acceptance. 8. Permits: You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for the installation, including building regulations, planning consents, and approvals from neighbors, landlords, and mortgage providers. 9. Existing Installations: BWD Plumbing and Heating is not responsible for any existing installations affected by our work, such as leaks caused by converting to a sealed system or power flushing. 10. Redecoration: The installation process may damage decorations and fittings. Redecorating is your responsibility and not included in the price. 11. Material Charges: Material charges for any parts or materials beyond those quoted will be on the final invoice. 12. Parking Permits: The homeowner, tenant, or agent is responsible for providing a parking permit or registering our van with the local authority, especially if there's no nearby pay and display parking. 13. Call Backs: We will rectify any issues with our work at no cost. However, standard charges apply for call backs unrelated to our work. 14. Payment: Final invoices are due within a week, but no later than 30 days, from the invoice date. Late payments will result in legal proceedings governed by English Law. 15. Deposits: Material deposits are required before appointment confirmation. 16. Cancellations: In case of cancellation after quote acceptance, the client is liable for restocking/return costs of materials purchased for the quoted work. 17. Force Majeure: We are not liable for failing to meet our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control.
